Governing Body

Damonville’s governing body consists of a democracy. The Governing body will consist of the President, Congress, and Supreme Court. The president oversees the entire society. The terms for president will be reduced to two year terms so it can produce great changes and allow other individuals to have a say. Instead of the majority vote rule in Congress, it will be in which all members of Congress have to agree upon a law otherwise the law will have amendments and changes made upon it until all members agree. This allows for a more influential decision among the whole of the society because diverse ideas have been contributed to it.
If any citizen wishes to propose a new law which he or she thinks may benefit Damonville, they will be required to send it in to the House where the bill be looked upon and if it passes, it will be taken in for consideration and go through the process of it being turned to law. However, if the president declines the signature of the bill, reforms will be made to it until it agrees with everyone. With this system, no one will blame the other for the downfall, if it were to occur. Also if Congress wishes to pass a law, all citizens will vote and it will be based on a majority vote.
The governing body of Damonville is a democracy, but we established a system in which everyone gets an equal say. All decisions will be made carefully with deep thought from all angles.
